Engineering plastics containing phthalazinone moieties are a series of novel high performance thermoplastics. Besides their excellent comprehensive properties, they have outstanding thermal resistance and easonable solubility in some aprotic polar organic solvents because of their hetero-aromatic twist and non-coplanar chemical structures. All of these make them have attractive prospects in the application of polymer matrix high performance composites, heat-resistant insulating materials and high-performance membrane materials. Herein the critical review describes the progress of their applications in fiber reinforced high performance composites. |
