Resistiveswitchingmaterialsmadeoforganicpolymerthinfilmshasbeenrecognizedtobeapromisingalternativeascomparedtotraditionalinorganiccounterpartsduetotheadvantagesofstructuralflexibility,low-cost,solutionprocessability,andthree-dimensionalstackingcapability.Theactivelayerexhibitsdistincthighandlowconductanceresponsestotheappliedvoltagesfortheapplicationsofdigitalmemorydeviceswithsimplesandwichedstructures.Hybrid-typecompositedevicecanbeinvestigatedtoinducethebistableresistiveswitching.Forthehostmatrices,blockcopolymersthatconsistoftwoormorecovalently-bondedblocksmicro-phaseseparateonthemolecularscaletopossessavarietyofstructuresanduseastemplateformanipulatingtheguestadditivespreciselyincompositessystemwithphysical/chemicalstability.Inthistalk,bistableresistiveswitchingcharacteristicsusingasymmetricpoly(styrene-block-4-vinylpyridine)(PS-b-P4VP)blockcopolymersandPCBMorgrapheneoxideaschargestoragematerialsarereportedforvariousmemoryeffectssuchasnon-volatile(flashorwrite-onceread-manytimes(WORM))andvolatile(dynamicrandom-accessmemory(DRAM)orstaticrandom-accessmemory(SRAM))memory.Differentswitchingmechanismsuchastrapping/detrappingorchargetransfereffectwillbediscussed.Ourresultssuggestthatthecontrolledmorphologyoftheblockcopolymerscompositecouldcreatenanoscalechargestorageelementsforthehighdensitymemorydevicewithareducingbitcellsize.
