Irish Patents Office (愛爾蘭專利局)
【組織簡介】
The Patents Office was established under the Industrial and Commercial Property (Protection) Act 1927. It is an independent statutory office under the control of the Controller of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks. The Controller is appointed by the Government, and the staffing and resources of the Office are functions of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in consultation with the Minister for Finance.

The protection of intellectual and industrial property is governed by many international conventions. Corresponding commitments made by some or all the EU member states are leading to standardization of national laws in specific fields. However, this does not provide an adequate basis for completion of the Single Market. The Commission is striving for the harmonization of national laws in different areas and more effective protection of intellectual and industrial property throughout the world.
