Membrane catalysts have garnered considerable attention in recent years

owing to their outstanding stability, high recyclability, environmental

compatibility, and convenience. Herein, nanogold membrane catalysts have

been successfully fabricated with ultrathin gold nanowires in the

presence of thiourea by a vacuum filtration deposition method aimed at

facilitating charge transport and enhancing the catalytic performance.

By maintaining the thiourea treatment concentration at 500 μg/mL, the

catalytic time of the nanogold membrane remained below 1.0 min for

2-nitrophenol, specifically at 15 s. The 500 μg/mL thiourea-treated

nanogold membranes are also capable of rapidly catalyzing the reduction

of 4-nitrophenol, methylene blue, and methyl orange, causing their

respective UV characteristic peaks to disappear expeditiously within 20

s. Overall, this novel method offers a simple and convenient approach to

obtaining nanogold membrane catalysts, holding great potential promise

for applications in materials, catalysts, and environment fields.
