The review article on supramolecular hyperbranched polymers by the research group has been published as a back cover feature in Chemical Communications


  Supramolecular hyperbranched polymers possess the three-dimensional structure and numerous functional groups characteristic of traditional hyperbranched polymers, while also exhibiting the dynamic and reversible properties of supramolecular polymers. Consequently, they represent a promising class of polymer materials with broad application prospects. However, a comprehensive summary of the research progress in the synthesis, assembly, functionality, and application prospects of supramolecular hyperbranched polymers is still lacking. To address this gap, the research group has systematically and extensively reviewed the recent advancements in this field, focusing on the two main approaches for constructing supramolecular hyperbranched polymers, namely the direct method and the indirect method. Building upon the previous works, the review highlights the group's recent research progress, including the development of new methods for tri-monomer polymerization based on self-classification recognition, modulation of supramolecular self-assembly parameters through ultrasonic vibration, and fabrication of intelligent drug delivery systems with switchable release behavior using supramolecular branched copolymer self-assembly.
