Professor Jonathan L. Sessler from the University of Texas at Austin visited the research group for academic exchange
On the afternoon of May 27, 2017, upon the invitation of Professor Tian Wei, the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the internationally renowned chemistry journal Chemical Communications, Professor Jonathan L. Sessler from the University of Texas at Austin visited the College of Science and the Key Laboratory of Polymer Science and Technology in Shaanxi Province for academic exchange and visit.
Professor Sessler first visited the Key Laboratory of Polymer Science and Technology in Shaanxi Province. Subsequently, he delivered an academic presentation titled "Adventures in Self-Assembly: Is There Logic Here?" in the auditorium of the College of Science, attended by nearly 80 faculty and students from the College of Science, College of Life Sciences, College of Materials Science, and Shaanxi Normal University. Professor Sessler's presentation, filled with humor and wit, sparked widespread interest among the attendees, and everyone actively engaged in discussions with him. Following the presentation, Professor Kong Jie, Professor Tian Wei, and others had further discussions with Professor Sessler, exploring the future directions and prospects of supramolecular chemistry. They reached a consensus on collaboration between research groups and joint training of graduate students.
