8月17日楊光教授應克里夫蘭醫院Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute的邀請進行訪問，在生物醫學工程中心（The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME)）做了 “Biomedical Functional Materials from Bacterial Cellulose”的報告.
Cleveland Clinic被美國新聞以及各種世界報道稱為是美國最好的醫院之一，并且該醫院的Heart Center 連續17年位居美國之首。The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) 成立于1991年，主要致力于有利于病人的調查研究、創新和科學技術的實用化，在將科學技術應用于醫療領域方面做出了很大貢獻。
