Xuan Zhang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Northwest Normal University in 1997 and 2000, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree from Xiamen University in 2003. Then he worked as a JSPS postdoc fellow in Kyushu University during 2004-2006, postdoc researcher in Osaka University and National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) during 2006-2008 and 2008-2010, respectively. In 2010, he moved to Donghua University as an associate professor in Department of Applied Chemistry, College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology， and promoted to professor position in 2020. In 2011, he got the “Shanghai Pujiang Program”. He has published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers in international journals such as Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chem. Commun., Org. Lett., J. Power Sources, Int. J. Hydrogen Energy, Energy & Fuels, J. Mater. Chem. B, Electrochim. Acta, Sens. Actuator B, Anal. Chim. Acta, Talanta, Dyes Pigm., Cellulose, and these works have been cited more than 3600 times. More than chinese 30 patents have been applied and 10 patents have been authorized. He has served as an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Chemistry (Supramolecular Chemistry section) and referee for many international journals.
