Silver(Ag)nanoparticlesloadingtemperatureresponsivenanogelswerepreparedbyin-situreductionofAg+ionscoordinatedintopoly(N-isopropylacrylamide)nanogels.TheweightpercentagecontentoftheentrappedAgnanoparticlesmeasuredbythermogravityanalysistops25%,andtheirparticlesizesdeterminedbytransmissionelectronmicroscopyarewithintherangefrom5to14nm.TheresultsobtainedbyX-raydiffractionexhibitedtheAgnanoparticlesareofface-centeredcubicsinglecrystalstructure.ThetemperaturedependentparticlesizesmeasuredbydynamiclightscatteringandthesurfaceplasmaresonanceabsorptionwavelengthsoftheentrappedAgnanoparticlesbyultravioletandvisiblespectrometerexhibitedthatthehybridnanogelshavetemperatureresponsiveproperty,andtheirvolumephasetransitiontemperatureisabout33.6℃.
