Inthepastdecades,shapememorypolymers(SMPs)haveattractedmoreattentioninthefieldofmicro-mechanicalsystemsandmedicaldevicesduetolight-weight,processability,andlow-cost.Recently,thermalresponsivepolyvinylalcohol(PVA)basedSMPshasbeenpreparedmourresearchteam.However,thistypeofSMPsisoftenlimitedintheapplicationduetoexternalheatsourcerestriction.Inthispaper,electroactiveresponsivePVASMPswerepreparedinordertoovercomethisproblem.PVAnanocompositeswerefabricatedwithdifferentcontentsofAMWNTsviatransitionalsolutioncastingandultrasonictreatment.ElectroactiveresponsivebehaviorsofPVA/AMWNTsnanocompositeswereinvestigated.ElectricalconductivityofPVA/AMWNTsnanocompositeswascharacterizedviafour-probemethodanddigitalhigh-resistivitydeterminer.Electricalconductivityofnanocompositeswithlessthan5wt%AMWNTsisextraordinarilylow,andtheconductivityincreasestoahighandstablelevelwiththeincreaseofAMWNTscontent.Theconductivityofnanocompositeswith10wt%AMWNTsincreases10-3S.mandtheshaperecoveryofthenanocompositescouldbetriggeredcompletelywhenapplyingavoltageof120Vtothepredeformedparts.AsthecontentofAMWNTsincreases,thedrivingvoltagedecreases.
