Inthisstudy,thethermalpropertiesandcorrespondingmeasurementmethodsforboth2Dand3Dgraphenes(GFs),aswellasgraphenefilledpolymercompositesarereviewed.Then,aresearchworkonthethermalconductivityofa3Dgrapheneanditscompositesisintroducedbasedonourprimaryresults.Theanalysisontheadvantages,limitationsandavailabilityofthosemethodsisgivenindetail.Thegraphenesheethasthethermalconductivityofashighas5000W/mKandnegativethermalexpansioncoefficientatroomtemperature,while,itscompositeshavemuchlowerthermalconductivity.High-yieldthreedimensionalgraphenenetworkswerepreparedonbothNiandCu3Dporoustemplatebyambientpressurechemicalvapourdeposition.TheNiandCutemplatescoveredwithgrapheneweredrop-coatedwithapoly(methylmethacrylate)(PMMA)solution,andbakedathightemperature.ThenthesampleswereputintoacorrespondingsolutiontocompletelydissolvetheNiandCutemplate.Finally3DgraphenenetworkwasobtainedafterremovingPMMAinacetone.TheGF/PDMScompositeswerepreparedbyinfiltratingGFswithPDMSwithoutthedamagetointerconnected3DscaffoldofGFs.ThemicrostructureswerecharacterizedbySEM,RamanspectroscopyandTEM.ThestrengthofGF/PDMScompositeswasmeasuredwithamechanicaltestingsystembybendingtests.Thethermalconductivityandthermalexpansioncoefficientweremeasured.TheresultsobtainedshowthattheGF/PDMScompositeshavegoodthermalpropertiesandaregoodcandidatematerialsforheatmanagementinmicroelectronicindustries.
