Nowadays,harmoniousintegrationwiththeenvironmentandthedesiretosaveenergyisaveryimportantresearchtopic.Forthesakeofenergysaving,greateffortsarebeingdoneonthepossibilitiesofreducingtheuseofairconditioningsystemsinautomobilesandbuildings.Meanwhile,peoplealsoseektodiminishthetimeofusingartificiallighting.Therefore,glasseswithalowsolarfactorandhighlighttransmittanceinthewavelengthrangefrom380nmt0780nmarehighlydesiredinmanyapplicationssuchasautomotivesandarchitectures.UVcuringcoating[l-2]ofEpoxyacrylates/Carbonnanotubes(EA/CNTs)waspreparedbythemoleculegroupreactionofCNTswithEA.TEMwasusedtoobservethemorphologicalstructureoftheEA/CNTssolution.Theanti-infrared/ultravioletpropertywascharacterizedbyUV-visandFTIRpreliminarilyinthewavelengthrangeof190-5000nm.Theresultsdemonstratedthat,itstransmittancewasgreaterthan85%invisiblespectrum,thetransmittancewas42.3%innearinfraredwaverange(4,000一14,000cm-l)anditshieldedmostofwaveinultravioletregion《300nm).Atthesametimethemechanicalpropertyofcompositecoatingwasimproved.Thisnewnanocompositematerialhasgreatpotentialtoserveasananti-IR/UVthincoatingtoimplementheatinsulationinmanyapplications.
