Anovelwetelectrospinning,formakingultrafinePoly(m-phenyleneisophthalamide(PMIA)fibersfromPMIAsolutioninionicliquidwhichisfirstlydescribed.Themicromorphologiesofthefibersfromwetorwet-electrospinningandwithorwithouttreatmentofcoagulationwaterbathinthewet-electrosinningprocessareobservedbyscanningelectrical(SEM)microscopeandopticalmicroscope(OM)andcompared.ThecrystalstructureofthefibersisanalyzedthroughWAXDandcomparedwiththosewhichwerepreparedbyconventionalwetspinningandthepyrolyticdegradationofthegibersweredeterminedbyTG.
