Differentrubberblendsbasedonnitrilebutadienerubber,NBR(N3980–39%acrylonitrile)havebeenpreparedtogetaproductwithhighoilresistantandgoodmechanicalproperties.TheobtainedmixesincludedNBR,chloro-prenerubber(CR)andpolyvinylchloride(PVC).Theratioofeachcomponent(NBR,CRandPVC)asbinaryorternaryblendsystemhasbeenvariedandthecorrespondingvulcanizingsystemshavebeencarefullyselected.Ithasbeenfoundthatthetypeofrubberandthecompositionofblendsmarkedlyaffecttheiroilresistance.Incontrast,thetypeofcrosslinksandcrosslinkingdensityslightlyaffecttheoilresistanceofthecorrespondingvulcanizates.
