Carbonfibersareattractivesubstratestobeusedfordesigningflexibleandweavabledevices.Inordertoobtainsomeflexiblechemicalsensorsorothernanodevices,surfacetreatmentofcarbonfiberwascarriedoutwithoxidationapproach.Studiesonpreparationofsometypicalmetaloxideorotherinorganicfunctionalfilm(suchas,ZnO,NiO,CdS,etal)withdifferentmorphologiesunderhydrothermalreactionconditionwereexamined.Aseriesofcharacterizationswereemployedbyscanningelectronmicroscope(SEM),X-raydiffraction(XRD),photoluminescencespectra(PL),etal.ResultsindicatedthattheZnOfilmwithporositywasuniformlyformedonthesurfaceofcarbonfibers,andtheuniformitiesofotherfilmswillbeimprovedfurtherbyadjustingsynthesisconditions.
