IntercalatedAg/PVP-modifiedclayhybridshavebeenpreparedbyin-situreductionreactionusingascorbicacidasreductantinthepresenceofpolyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)whichwasusedtoincreasetheinterlamellarspaceofNa+-montmorillonite(Na+-MMT)andstabilizeAgnanoparticles.TheintercalationstructuresoftheproducedhybridshavebeencharacterizedbyX-raydiffraction,transmissionelectronmicroscopy,scanningelectronmicroscopy,andBETsurfaceareaanalysismeasurements.
