Aseriesofoctacarboxy-metallophthalocyaninedyes,i.e.,MnOCPc,FeOCPcandZnOCPcwithdifferentcentralmetalionsweredesignedandsynthesizedundermicrowaveirradiation.Theeffectsoftheintroductionofdifferentmetalionswithvariant3dorbitals(3d5,3d6,3d10,respectively)inthecentreofthephthalocyanineringsonthethermal,spectral,andelectrochemicalpropertiesofoctacarboxy-metallophthalocyanineswereinvestigatedandevaluated.TheresultsshowedthatZnOCPcwithclosed-shellmetalionandFeOCPcwithopen-shellmetalionhadexcellentthermalproperty.However,MnOCPcwithhalf-full-shellmetalionhadalowestdecompositiontemperatureandlargestQbandred-shifted.Bytheoreticalcalculation,theenergygapsofMnOCPc,FeOCPcandZnOCPcwere0.31,0.37and0.32V,respectively.
