Poly(t-butylacrylate)-b-poly(2-Dimethylamino)ethylmethacrylate(PtBA-b-PDMAEMA)withdifferentproportionsoftwomonomerswerepreparedbyatomtransferradicalpolymerization(ATRP)using1-Chlorophenylethane(1-PECl)asinitiatorandCuCl/N,N,N’,N”,N”-Pentamethyldiethylenetriamine(PMDETA)ascatalystinthemixturesolventofbutanoneand2-propanol.ThestructuresofPtBA-b-PDMAEMAwerecharacterizedby1HNMR.Themolecularweightsandpolydispersityindexes(PDI)oftheblockcopolymersweredeterminedbygelpermeationchromatography(GPC).Theamphiphilicblockcopolymers(PtBA-b-PDMAEMA)self-assembleintomicellesinaselectivesolvent.ThestructuresofthemicelleswereinvestigatedbyTEM.Shellcross-linked“knedel”(SCK)micellesweresynthesizedbyusingabifunctionalcross-linker,1,2-bis-(2-iodoethoxy)ethane(BIEE).Thesizesofmicelleswithdifferentcontentsofcross-linkeragentwerechanged.Thetemperature-sensitivebehaviorofSCKmicelleswasinvestigated.
