Biodegradablepoly(butylenesuccinate-co-butyleneterephthalate)(PBST)fibersareheat-setonParallelDrawMachinewiththedrawratioof1.59-1.95attheheatrollertemperatureof50-80℃andhotplatetemperatureof110-155℃.Theeffectsofheat-settingconditionsonthetensilepropertiesofPBSTfibersareinvestigated.Theresultsshowthattheimpactofthedrawratioismoreobviousthanthatofheatrollertemperatureandhotplatetemperature.Withtheincreaseofdrawratio,thebreakingstrengthincreasesandtheelongationatbreakdecreases.Withtheincreaseofheatrollertemperature,thebreakingstrengthandtheelongationatbreakincrease.Withincreaseofhotplatetemperature,thetrendofbreakingstrengthisunclearandtheelongationatbreakinitiallyincreasesandthenshowsaslightfall.Thebreakingstrengthreachesitsmaximumvalueof2.04cN/dtexwhenthedrawratiois1.95whiletheheatrollerandhotplatetemperatureis70℃and140℃,respectively.Theeffectsofheat-settingconditionsonthetensilepropertiesofPBSTfibersarecorrelatedwithfibersoundvelocityandcrystallinity.
